  • App Developer
    SUMMARY
    ServiceSport UK continues to invest in technology and software and we’re currently on the lookout for a qualified and talented APPLICATION DEVELOPER to join our team.
     
    In this role, you will be responsible for designing and coding functional programs and applications. You will collaborate with a team of professionals but also work independently with minimal supervision.
     
    The ideal candidate for this position will possess excellent knowledge of at least one programming language and have a strong understanding of various operating systems and platforms. An analytical mindset and attention to detail are essential qualities for success in this role.
     
    Your primary objective as an Application Developer will be to write clean and flawless code, ensuring the development of fully functional software applications that meet specific requirements.

    RESPONSIBILITIES
    • Understand client requirements and how they translate in application features
    • Collaborate with a team of IT professionals to set specifications for new applications
    • Design creative prototypes according to specifications
    • Write high-quality source code to program complete applications within deadlines
    • Perform unit and integration testing before the launch
    • Conduct functional and non-functional testing
    • Troubleshoot and debug applications
    • Evaluate existing applications to reprogram, update and add new features
    • Develop technical documents and handbooks to accurately represent application design and code
    • Requirements and skills
    • Proven experience as an application developer
    • Experience in designing and building applications
    • Ability to program in at least one programming language such as C#, Java (J2EE) etc.
    • In-depth knowledge of programming for diverse operating systems and platforms using development tools
    • Excellent understanding of software design and programming principles.
    • A team player with excellent communication skills
    • Analytical thinking and problem-solving capability
    • Great attention to detail and time-management skills
    • BSc/BA in computer science or relevant field; MSc/MA will be appreciated
    • Certified application developer is a plus

  • Shot Blaster

    SUMMARY

    Shot blasting is an important step in our production process for preparing metal parts for painting and powder coating. The role will require the ability to shot blast a variety of equipment while also adhering to good housekeeping and all health and safety regulations.

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

    Description of key duty/responsibility

    Daily duties include shot blasting and assisting in powder coating, wet spraying, and other parts of the business i.e. daily clean-down routine.

    – Operating shot blasting

    – Practicing good housekeeping – including correct paint storage and clear paper records

    – Maintaining stock levels

    – Reviewing work practices and suggesting ways to reduce manufacturing lead times and costs

    Qualifications

    No qualifications are required however proven experience in industrial shot blasting would be advantageous.

    Experience & Skills

    Experience in a similar production environment, also have experience with operating shot blasting and paint equipment. Must also be able to work as part of a team and effectively prioritise workload when up against deadlines. A flexible approach to work and tasks is essential along with sufficient administration skills to ensure Customers, Company systems and office personnel are updated appropriately.

    Working hours

    Full-time hours between Monday and Friday

    Overtime available

    Salary: £22,000.00-£26,000.00 per year

    – Adherence to the Company’s Quality Management System, Health and Safety legislation, and legal requirements
    – Flexibility and adaptability to thrive in a dynamic work environment
    – Good administration skills to keep customers and office personnel updated on work progress
    – Possession of a full, clean UK driving license

    Rewards and Compensation:

    – Salary range: £26,000 – £29,000 per year (depending on experience)
    – Additional £500 per quarter bonus (£2,000 per year)
