Who are we?
Colin Marriott - Managing Director
Colin's career began with a sales grounding in the packaging industry. He worked for a fitness equipment manufacturer and it was from there that he spotted a gap in the market for a nationwide independent service provider in the commercial fitness equipment sector. Founding ServiceSport in 1999, Colin has grown the business into one with a nationwide reputation of high quality of service.
A keen follower of football at all levels, Colin is a lifelong Manchester City fan and supporter of our local teams in the North West Counties league. Colin also enjoys playing in a local 5-a-side league to maintain his level of fitness. Colin’s passion for the game led to ServiceSport becoming an official sponsor of Bury Football Club in 2013.
Colin isn't a natural born athlete, but loves to compete in as many charity fundraisers as he can. From triathlons, to 3 peak challenges and 10k runs, Colin loves to get involved in all sorts of charitable sport and fitness.
Susie Marriott - Commercial Director
Susie joined the ServiceSport team back in 2011, after gaining more than 14 years’ experience at a global leader in the recruitment industry. With qualifications in both business and finance, the experience and knowledge Susie has brought to ServiceSport is invaluable and she continues to inspire and train staff.
Susie manages ServiceSport’s larger and more corporate customers, whilst still finding the time to develop smart improvements and innovations for the company.
A mother to two children, Susie is also an enthusiastic sports woman, competing in triathlons alongside her brother and managing director, Colin.
Matthew Eckersley – Sales Director
Matthew began his career at ServiceSport back in 2004, after studying for a National Diploma in sports science at Myerscough College. He joined as an apprentice, working in the install team before climbing the ladder and gaining experience in almost all areas of the business.
Matthew has worked in sales, remanufacturing and parts, providing him with an in depth knowledge of the whole business, which enables him to solve any queries that staff and customers may have.
Matthew is a passionate Liverpool fan and has followed football since he was a young lad, even playing semi-professionally for Salford City in his younger years. As a father, Matthew enjoys spending time with his three young boys and playing the occasional round of golf at the weekend.
